I realize…

…that it has been a very long time since I have posted on the site and I apologize for that now. With school and college preparation I am very busy all of the time. I will prepare some articles on a few subjects soon:

  • The US Presidential Election
  • Finding a church
  • Church divisions and relations in politics
  • News as it pertains to Christianity

Check back real soon!

Welcome!

From the ABOUT page:

Welcome to Tower of the North, my website! This website is my personal venting spot where I can talk about a large variety of subjects mostly local things, politics and religion. I won’t get into intense debates about it that’s not really my thing it does nothing but cause stress. Anyways I go by the alias of Kevin Killraven and I live in the Galesburg, Illinois area. I felt the need to maintain a website for the sake of showing off someone of the cool things that you would otherwise not know existed but first for a few details about myself:

I am a Senior in high school and I plan on going to University of Illinois to major in Chemical Engineering. In my spare time I have many hobbies; Video games are among my favorite of those hobbies. I also enjoy listening to music, reading good books, writing and learning something new. I am a Christian as well, that is, I believe Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior, theres nothing to it but that! Although I was raised Catholic I have become a Protestant over the years and I am considering joining the United Methodist church because I strongly believe God is love and his believers should show that love to all people! Politically I am independent of any political party in America as I find them to be corrupt and disillusioned with what people truely want. I am pretty conservative on economic issues but rather liberal on MOST social issues (for example I am personally pro-life) and I encourage people to use their American liberty to lead life however they want as long as it does not encroach on the rights or safety of another.

Ok I guess it is time that I tell you what you should expect to see on this site. You will read a lot of personal stories and situations (it is a blog afterall) but you will occasionally hear a note on politics or current news because it really does affect all of us. For my Dungeons and Dragons players I will also post game dates and important information and for people who are familiar with my other websites I will post status updates.

I hope you will enjoy reading this blog as much as I will enjoy writing it!
